Event Description

5 Monday afternoon lectures from 29th January to 26th February 2018 by Creina Mansfield MA, PhD novelist and teacher in the history of modern novels. Creina is one of our most popular tutors. Using Colm Tóibin’s collection of essays, we will discuss the intricacies of family  relationships in literature and writing. From the importance of aunts in the English 19th Century novel to the  relationship between fathers and sons in the writing of James Baldwin and Barack Obama.
